About Us
Turning Interest Into Action
The Kappa Chi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 26, 1974 on Louisiana Tech’s campus by 14 ambitious, determined, and college-educated women. They sought the need to keep the traditions, values, morals, goals, and thrust points of the sorority in motion by establishing the chapter. Along with the many campus-wide chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Chi strives daily to serve our campus and community through the Five-Point Thrust of the sorority.

We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. This is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference.
Our public service programs are centered around Delta's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement.
